We are not your normal Sunday League Team.
Spindles is bridging the gap between competive football and playing for a purpose in the Capital Region.
We are more than a football club, and we expect more than just on-field product.
If you want to be apart of something bigger than yourself, Spindles United is the place to be.

Affordable, grassroots, accessible and community-based soccer leagues will be the driving force to grow the beautiful game in the U.S.
Clubs like Spindles exist to push this agenda in their respective homes. For us, the New York State Capital.
We strive to build community on and off the field.
It’s a long summer with Spindles, with a lot going on. But it can go very fast.
Building relationships between our players is key to creating a family-like atmosphere.

Spindles United FC currently hosts a men’s team that plays in the CDSL.
For players joining us, we offer 2 training sessions and 1 match each week from May to July.
We also host a 2 week pre-season schedule in April, before our first league match.
We stick firmly to this schedule to ensure each player has the right tools to succeed.

An official roster size of 28 players, including a handful of training guys.
There is no shortage of competition at Spindles.
Competition with your teammates and your opponents on matchday.
Spindles is the place to be to fuel your competitive drive.
Playing time is not guaranteed, nor shared equally.
Commitment, work rate, attendance, attitude, and on-field product all play key roles in deciding minutes.
If you are not willing to earn your spot, Spindles is not for you.

The Capital District Soccer League (CDSL) has existed in the Albany area for more than 30 years.
The league consists of 8 local amateur clubs, with a 10 week regular season from May - July.
The CDSL is our main league play during the summer.
In 2023, Spindles second season in the CDSL, the club made its first playoff final appearance.
In 2024, Spindles finished second place during the regular season, the club's highest seed to date.
