Getting Back on Track with 3 Points

Spindles 1 - 0 Ligon FC

15' - Adjei (Aladlouni)

After 2 straight league losses, Spindles is finding their feet again with a win over Ligon FC.

Spindles took on last-place Ligon FC on Tuesday night, looking for all 3 points to help their playoff-seeding chances.

For another beautiful Nott Road night, all it took was 1 goal to seal the deal.

Zeidane Adjei opened the scoring early after a trivela cross by Ali Aladlouni, for an easy half-volley for Adjei. 1 - 0, 15'.

Spindles dominated possession and chances for the first and second halfs.

Although the opposing keeper made some great stops, Spindles will be disappointed not to have extended their lead this match.

A strong defensive performance from the Spins helped secure a clean sheet for the night, giving Ligon very few chances.

With that being said, centreback Ian Maguire earned the Guth DeConzo Man of the Match award for his stopping display.

Spindles are hoping for another 3 points next week, Tuesday, July 2 against Highlanders at 6:15 pm.
